Conservation of Water in the Home by Peter Duivenvoorden

Can you imagine not having enough water? Do you think we can survive without it? How disastrous it would be without water in this world. Water conservation is a very essential practice and let us not takes water for granted. Save water and use it more wisely. Here are some simple ways on how to conserve water in our home.

1. Check for leaks. You can check leaks by checking out your water meter where there is no water being used. If there's a leak replace and fix it right away. Don't waste time.

2. Recycle your water. Try re-using your water, you can find out that you can still use that water to other purposes like watering the plants and your garden. This way you could reduce the amount of water you're using.

3. Car washing. Washing your car at home will waste buckets of water and you cannot recycle it.

4. When watering your plants and garden it is better that you do it in the evening or early in the morning. This will cut down water loss due to evaporation.

5. Consider washing your dishes by hand and use bowl for washing and rinsing. You can lessen the use of water by doing this.

6. Do not leave your water running while you clean fruits and vegetables. Just rinse them in a pan of clean water.

7. Refrigerate your drinking water. Letting your tap water to run to cool it off for drinking water is wasteful.

8. Put a low flow shower heads to maximize water coverage and minimize water volume.

Water conservation is very important. These simple methods of saving water can make a big difference.
